Educação em saúde pública: a missão da Escola de Saúde Pública Dr. Jorge David Nasser em formar profissionais

Abstract

It is an opinion article about the articulated process of health education of the School of Public Health Dr. Jorge David Nasser (ESP), the training and qualification role of health professionals, and the legislations for the implementation of the Unified Health System (SUS) ) in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul. The mission of ESP and its fundamental role for the development of policies and programs is highlighted as well as demonstrated the alignment of the needs of the municipalities and the response in the provision of training of specialists in the various areas and fields of knowledge. It is concluded by the relevance of ESP in the possibility of assisting health teams in the implementation of actions and services offered in their territories.
